We co-organise a monthly User Centred Design meetup called UCD Bristol (you guessed it... in Bristol). Each month we hold talks and workshops on topics relating to design and research across disciplines including everything from UX, graphic design, service design to 3D and more.
In June we welcomed Chui Chui Tan to the stage. She started her UX career 12 years ago, working with organisations such as Marriott, BBC, Google, Clarks and Asana, from initial research to design to develop multi-channel international strategies. She has founded Beyō Global, a consultancy which helps companies use market, user behavioural and cultural insights to design a better product and service for their customers (domestic and internationally). Chui Chui is also the author of the book International User Research, the UX Design editor at Smashing since 2013 and a regular international speaker.
She talked about designing with global audiences in mind, teaching us that localisation means more than just translation. Take a look and if you find this talk interesting, why not consider joining us for our next event?
